Dr. Leavitt
Matt L. Leavitt, D.O. is the Founder and Medical Director of Advanced
Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery,Medical Hair Restoration and affiliated
companies. He has lectured throughout the United States as well as
internationally and has authored a textbook chapter on corrective hair
transplant surgery.
Dr. Leavitt continues to receive recognition through local and national
television, domestic and international press and numerous publications,
including Forbes, Playboy and Parents Magazines. To his credit, he has twice
edited a special edition of the International Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. Under
the auspices of the North American Academy of Cosmetic and Restorative Surgery,
Dr. Leavitt has chaired Live Workshops on Hair Restoration involving physicians
worldwide.
Specializing in skin cancer, cosmetic surgery and general dermatology, he has
authored several articles in leading medical journals on the treatment of hair
loss and other conditions relating to cosmetic surgery. Dr. Leavitt's patients
include physicians, politicians, celebrities and dignitaries - as well as
thousands of individuals from all walks of life.
Dr. Leavitt graduated from the University of Michigan and Michigan State
University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He trained in Dermatology at Ohio
University/Grandview Medical Center. Dr. Leavitt is Board Certified in
Dermatology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American
Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American
Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Osteopathic
College of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, American Board of Hair
Restoration Surgery, International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, American
Hairloss Council, Florida Medical Society, Florida Dermatological Surgeons
Society, and the Central Florida Dermatology Society.
Dr. Leavitt is the Past President of the American Osteopathic College of
Dermatology as well as the President of The World Hair Society. He is a
Presidential Advisor and Trustee for The North American Academy of Cosmetic and
Restorative Surgery.
