Amber Blair has an extensive and diverse background in healthcare. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida’s CardioPulmonary Science program, she worked in a NICU, as well as becoming a member of both the newborn delivery resuscitation team and the elite ECMO perfusioning team. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University Masters in Medical Science of Physician Assistant Studies program. She quickly found her home in dermatology and hasn’t looked back since!
Amber Blair now practices in Winter Park, Florida alongside a fellowship trained MOHS surgeon. While she has a passion for skin cancer surgery, she thrives off of a diverse schedule ranging from advanced cosmetic injectable procedures to complicated medical dermatology. She has spent a great deal of time carving out an intricate niche to expand her career, incorporating many of her passions within this field. In addition to her clinical practice, Amber works with Nova Southeastern University’s MMS Physician Assistant program as a preceptor, an adjunctive faculty guest lecturer and lab facilitator, and is also a member of Advanced Dermatology’s Physician Assistant Fellowship training program. Additionally, she has been invited on multiple occasions to Rollins College to give guest lectures, enjoys going out into the community offering free skin cancer screenings and going on mission trips.
Amber feels truly honored to have been invited onto the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants board of directors, currently serving as “Director at Large”. Additionally, she was recently nominated by the National Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, to join their board of directors as “Director at Large”.
Residing in the Winter Park area, she spends all of her free time with her two amazing children and loves traveling. Very grateful for where her journey has taken her thus far, Amber follows a very simplistic philosophy in life. “Have passion for all that you do... combine that with focus, drive and hard work…everything else will fall into place”.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
