Bushra Alam is a Certified Physician Assistant, she is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Bushra was originally drawn to the field of dermatology because of the impact that healthy skin can have on promoting a positive quality of life. She takes great pride in helping improve the lives of her patients, who she sees as family.
Bushra is an active member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants (AAPA), New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSPA), and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She has a passion for educating patients about various dermatologic conditions and believes in creating individualized treatment plans to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Bushra is committed to educating her patients on proper sun protection and the importance of self-skin exams and professional Total-Body Skin Cancer Exams. She specializes in general dermatology, including skin cancer screenings, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and hair loss.
In her free time Bushra enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring the outdoors and spending time with her family.
