Jayson Keener graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor’s degree in History. He then earned his Master of Science Physician Assistant at the University of New England in Portland Maine. Prior to that, Jayson served 9 years in the United States Air Force, with 2 years as a medic on a medical surgical unit. Upon re-entering civilian life, he became a Firefighter EMT/Paramedic and worked for the City of Orlando for 13 years. While on a medical mission trip, he discovered his interest in dermatology.
Jayson is fellowship-trained in general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all skin, hair, and nail disorders as well as the prevention of skin cancer in all age groups. Jayson is also trained and certified to perform a variety of cosmetic procedures. He prioritizes patient education and preventative skin care in his treatment.
Jayson is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed through the State of Florida Board of Medicine. He is also an active member of the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Veterans Caucus of AAPA, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. In his free time, Jayson enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
