Dr. Jeffrey Collins was born and raised in La Canada, CA outside of Los Angeles. He graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. Dr. Collins completed his 4 year medical school degree at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) at Midwestern University where he graduated at the top of his class with a 3.95 GPA with Honors. He consistently scored above the 95% percentile on his national medical licensing exams. He has been actively involved in dermatology clinical trial research and publishing both articles and textbook chapters. He completed a research elective at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. After medical school he went on to complete a one year internship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis Oregon. He completed his three year specialty training at the Dermatology Residency of Orlando/ADCS in Florida. While in Florida, he gained extensive experience in the treatment of skin cancer with Mohs and surgical dermatology. In addition to the hundreds of Mohs cases, he was trained in reconstruction from a plastic surgeon. Dr. Collins did an externship in complex medical dermatology at the prestigious UCSF in San Francisco. To diversify his Mohs surgery education, he completed the ASDS surgical preceptorship in Mohs surgery in Portland. He demonstrates leadership amongst his peers and was chosen to be Chief Resident during his last year of residency. Outside of work, he loves to spend time outdoors with his wife, two kids, and Australian Shepherd. They love to travel and has lived in many different places, including Arizona, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah, and Florida. He is well trained in general, cosmetic and surgical dermatology and is excited to bring you the best and latest dermatologic care.
