Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Jeffrey Smith attended Michigan State University for undergraduate, graduate and medical school. He completed his general surgery residency at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor and trained in plastic surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Boston in the Harvard Plastic Surgery Training Program, where he was the chief plastic surgery resident.
Upon graduation in 2000, he was an instructor in surgery at Harvard Medical school while starting a private reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery practice north of Boston, practicing there for 21 years.
He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He is a recipient of the Lowell General Hospital 20 Years of Distinguished Service Award.
When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, dog and extended family. Dr. Smith’s personal hobbies include outdoor activities like hiking, biking, gardening, boating, fishing and skiing. He also enjoys reading, writing and cooking and is always trying to learn new things.
