Dr. Joshua Black received his undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in French and a Bachelor of Science in biology, from the University of South Carolina Honors College. He then earned his medical degree from MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina, where he was selected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Black completed his internship in internal medicine at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and his residency program in dermatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where he served as chief resident.
From 2013 to 2018, Dr. Black worked in the Virginia and DC area, where he was nominated for the Top Doctor (dermatologist) in ‘The Washingtonian’ and received the Shining Star Award for his superb patient care. He joined Palmetto Dermatology in 2018 and holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Black has privileges at Lexington Medical Center.
