Melanie Stover is originally from Rockford, Michigan. Upon completion of a tour of duty in the United States Army, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Grand Valley State University. After a 20 year career as an emergency room and family practice nurse, Melanie completed Physician Assistant training at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine from which she graduated with honors receiving a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is licensed by the State of Florida and Michigan and is Certified by the NCCPA.
Melanie specializes in general medical dermatology for patients of all ages. Her scope of practice includes acne treatment, skin cancer screenings and treatments, mole evaluations, psoriasis and common dermatologic conditions, as well as cosmetic treatments. In addition, Melanie will be completing a comprehensive training program provided by the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and will be recognized by them as a Diplomat dermatology Physician Assistant.
While serving in the Army, Melanie traveled all over the US playing softball representing the US Army. She remains an avid college women’s softball fan.
Melanie has a large blended family, with 4 sons, 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. She also has a silver lab named Gracie.
