Dr Wright grew up in Peru, Indiana and attended Wabash College and Indiana University before attending Indiana University School of Medicine. He served as station flight surgeon at Quonset Point Naval Airstation following his internship at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington and flight surgery training in Pensacola, Florida. He did his dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati followed by a year of volunteer work in Ethiopia in a mission hospital and clinic. This was followed by a year of teaching and research in the University if Cincinnati Department of Dermatology. Since moving to Denver in 1977 and starting Denver Dermatology Consultants, he has been active in the teaching program at the University of Colorado Department of Dermatology and has served as President of the Colorado Dermatologic Society. His interests in Dermatology include all phases of Dermatology. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Laser Surgery. His view on patient care is, “I try to provide the best possible service to patients. It is my goal to give them information about their condition and to discuss treatment options available. I want them to be involved as much as possible in the decision about treatment and prevention.” Dr Wright is married with two grown children and two active grandchildren. He is an avid student of Spanish and enjoys working out.
