Dr. Vukmer is a Board-Eligible Dermatologist. His interests include medical, surgical, cosmetic dermatology and dermatopathology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Osteopathic Dermatology, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Vukmer graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY in 2007 with an undergraduate degree in Spanish Language and Literature, as well as pre-medical studies. He then attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2007 to 2011. During his medical education, he started a new chapter of the Dermatology Interest Group and participated in research/publication topics involving melanocytic and granulomatous conditions.
Dr. Vukmer completed his Traditional Rotating Internship at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL in 2012. From there, he went on to a research position with the University of Colorado Denver in the field of melanoma genetics. During his research years, Dr. Vukmer co-founded the Colorado Melanoma Foundation, a state-wide nonprofit to promote melanoma awareness, education, and patient advocacy in Colorado. He has remained an active board member since its development in 2012.
After 2 years of research and philanthropic work in Colorado, Dr. Vukmer completed a 3-year dermatology residency at Hackensack UMC at Palisades in the New York City/ New Jersey area. While there, he trained closely with the Mt. Sinai dermatology department and the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology.
Dr. Vukmer currently lives in Denver and enjoys many of the outdoor activities in Colorado including skiing/snowboarding, fly-fishing, white water kayaking, climbing, and mountain biking. He is also active in area nonprofits and enjoys cooking, acoustic guitar, and traveling the US.
