Pediatric Dermatology has been a subspecialty of Dermatology for more than 40 years.  The Society of Pediatric Dermatology was founded in 1975.  Dr. Bond has been a member since 1981.  He has presented numerous papers at the national and international meetings.  Pediatric Dermatology is not routine skin problems that occur in children but instead involves dermatological entities that encompass congenital abnormalities of skin development as well as entities that appear only in children or initiate in childhood.  Pediatric dermatology incorporates the field of neonatology and birthmarks, genetic syndromes, cutaneous markers for internal disease, skin infections from impetigo to warts and fungus and Conditions such as Atopic Dermatitis (eczema of childhood). Atopic Dermatitis is more than just a common rash; it is a chronic rash involving relentless itching, scratching and skin infections that result in misery for the child and overwhelming stress on family dynamics.  Therapy encompasses more than just prescriptions.  Utilizing new non-irritating specialty cleansers and moisturizers enhances the successful treatment of this and many other childhood conditions such as ichthyosis, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris and acne.  As a board certified dermatologist and pediatrician, Dr. Bond is in a professional position to provide comprehensive care for children and their families while treating their dermatological conditions.

Dr. Bond is the Medical Director of Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. He is very involved in Clinical Research and has established a dermatology training program for physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
