Dr. Colon completed her undergraduate training at the University of Florida (UF) where she obtained a major in Biology and a minor in Health Disparities in Society. She went on to complete her medical school training at UF, graduating in the top quartile. She completed her Dermatology training at Howard University in Washington, DC where she had assignments at Howard University Hospital, DC VA Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Children’s National Hospital. In her final year of residency, she served as chief resident.
Dr. Colon is a published author of several articles and textbooks in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She also started a free dermatology clinic at the University of Florida and is passionate about mentoring medical students.
Dr. Colon's bilingual skills allow her to offer compassionate, individualized care, addressing the unique needs of patients with various skin colors and types.
In cosmetic dermatology, she is skilled in BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), microneedling, Intense Pulse Light (IPL), and chemical peels. She prides herself on staying up to date on the latest treatments that help patients gain natural-appearing results at any age.
