Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is used to remove fine lines and wrinkles, to minimize scars such as those caused by acne, and even to remove tattoos. Skin resurfacing with dermabrasion is an outpatient procedure performed by Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery physicians and surgeons. This procedure uses a high-speed rotating brush to cast off the top layer of skin. The depth of your existing wrinkles and scars will determine how much of the outer layer of skin is shed.

As the skin heals from dermabrasion, the new skin that’s formed is usually smoother and younger looking than before. This treatment can be used alone or with other skin processes to achieve your best results.
