Brighter, Healthier Skin

Brighter, Healthier Skin

Medical facials performed at Advanced Dermatology differ from those performed at spas or with at-home products. While medical facials cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize, they are far more intense because of the medical-quality tools and products used. Your medical aesthetician will tailor your treatment to meet the needs of your skin, perform extractions without the damage often caused with at-home attempts, and help erase the evidence of time, stress, and environmental toxins.

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin, to reveal healthier, new skin beneath. If your goal is to improve your skin's texture and tone, decrease the look of lines and wrinkles, and have a healthier, more youthful appearance, then a chemical peel may be just what you need.

Advanced Dermatology’s licensed aestheticians will recommend a medical facial, chemical peel, or a combination to produce the best results for you. Call today and see brighter, healthier skin the next time you look in the mirror.

Quatro Peel

Quatro Peel

The Quatro “Peel” formula is a specialized treatment for use only by doctors and skincare specialists. It was developed with five all-natural fruit acids to improve skin health and appearance. Quatro Peels smooth wrinkles and improve sun-damaged skin with no downtime. The healing ingredients in this formulation, along with the fruit acids, penetrate the basal (innermost) layer of the skin to stimulate collagen production and strengthen the skin while treating the surface.

A Quatro Peel can help control and eliminate acne as it cleans and tightens pores. It can also help reduce unwanted pigmentation to restore natural, balanced skin tone after trauma or hormonal fluctuation.

This peel is effective for men and women of all ages and skin types, and is also suitable for sensitive, sun damaged, mature, and pigmented skin.

Schedule a monthly Quatro Peel with Advanced Dermatology to make the most of your skin’s health.

The actual peeling starts 72 hours after treatment and lasts three to five days. Makeup can be applied 24 hours after the session.

VI Peel

VI Peel

You can’t stop aging, but you can reverse some of its effects in as few as seven days. The VI Peel delivers specific anti-aging effects, to fight back against lax, pigmented and rough skin.

The VI Peel is only available from your healthcare professional who uses this simple, comfortable procedure in-office. In about 60 minutes you’ll have a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, and reduced acne, acne marks and scarring. This type of peel is extremely effective in reducing dark spots on the skin, including melasma, which causes patchy brown discolorations on the face. Collagen and elastin production are also stimulated during the procedure leading to firmer skin as a result.

The VI Peel is safe for all skin types and can be repeated three to four times a year to repair sun damage, though your Advanced Dermatology skincare provider will develop a plan with you to maintain best results.

Moderate Chemical Peels

When it’s time to turn back time a little, a moderate chemical peel can help you achieve deeper results.  Moderate chemical peels are skin-resurfacing methods that reduce fine lines and wrinkles, treat acne, reduce acne scarring, and address uneven skin pigmentation. A series of three to six peels will provide the ultimate results.

Chemical peels can be performed to different depths in the skin. Moderate peels involve a solution that’s applied to the skin to remove cells from the outermost layer (the epidermis) and some remove cells from the second or middle layer (the dermis). When the new skin grows back, it’s smoother and younger looking, lessening the appearance of wrinkles, skin discolorations and scars.

Your Advanced Dermatology healthcare provider will determine if you’re a good candidate for a moderate chemical peel. After the procedure, your skin will be red and you’ll have some swelling but limited if any downtime. If you experience any discomfort it can be alleviated with over-the-counter products. It takes about one to two weeks for your skin to fully heal after a moderate chemical peel, after which time you’ll have noticeably smoother skin. The procedure can be repeated at intervals of three to nine months, as suggested by your Advanced Dermatology aesthetician.

You might consider combining a chemical peel with a medical facial to maximize the effects of these two treatments. A consultation with a licensed, specialized ADCS aesthetician is the first step to obtaining, and maintaining, your timeless look.

Facials and Extractions

Facials might sound like a luxury, but offer many medical benefits for your skin. You’ll see a transformation in how your skin looks and feels after these facial steps:

  • Cleansing
  • Exfoliating
  • Utilizing the art of extractions (to clean the pores)
  • Massaging (to relax and detox)
  • Applying specialized masks to hydrate and soothe the skin

People with specific skin concerns can benefit greatly from facials. By cleaning out clogged pores, products applied to the skin can better penetrate. In the case of acne, for example, the ability for the product to better reach into the skin decreases the chance of bacterial overgrowth.

Facials may also include the use of chemical peels, customized to accomplish your goals.

So, go ahead and give yourself some medical “pampering.” Our aestheticians will prepare a facial tailored to your skin's specific condition and challenges.
