Credentials
Anya Kaczmarek, MPH, MS, PA-C was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Naples, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. An interest in epidemiology and public health led her to earn her Master of Public Health degree with honors from Boston University.
After graduate school, Ms. Kaczmarek worked at Harvard University Medical School on alternative medicine clinical trials. She continued participating on clinical trial research projects as a statistician at the University of Michigan Department of Dermatology. While there, Ms. Kaczmarek co-authored and published dermatologic research in various scientific journals including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her main research interests were on psoriasis, melanoma, skin cancer, acne, and aging skin. It was while working with patients afflicted with various dermatologic diseases that Ms. Kaczmarek decided to pursue a career as a physician assistant in dermatology.
In 2007 Ms. Kaczmarek received her Master of Science with honors in Physician Assistant studies from University of Detroit-Mercy. As a board-certified physician assistant with years of experience treating all aspects of dermatology including surgery, psoriasis, eczema, skin cancers, rashes, acne, and photoaging, Ms. Kaczmarek treats patients with the utmost care and concern. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and American Association of Physician Assistants.
