Carmen Ramirez‑Boyd received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Youngstown State University in 2000 and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Kent State University in 2008. She further advanced her clinical expertise by completing the DermWise certified dermatology training program. With nearly 18 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, 14 of those devoted to dermatology.
Carmen is nationally certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and remains actively engaged in several professional organizations, including the NP Society of the Dermatology Nurses Association (DNA), the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners (FLANP), and the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (SDNP). From 2012 to 2020, she also served as a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). In addition to her clinical work, Carmen has shared her expertise as a guest lecturer for graduate Nurse Practitioner students at both Youngstown State University and Kent State University. She also finds deep fulfillment in participating in humanitarian mission trips with her family, contributing to medical efforts across Central America and Puerto Rico.
Carmen enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and managing complex skin conditions. She is passionate about caring for patients with chronic diseases such as psoriasis and other autoimmune conditions, helping them maintain hope and quality of life throughout their treatment journey. She also finds great joy in supporting teens and young adults with acne, ensuring they feel confident during meaningful life moments.
