Dr. Daniel Callaghan graduated from Boston College cum laude and received his M.D. from Georgetown University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for being at the top of his class. He completed his dermatology residency at Boston Medical Center where he was one of 10 residents from across the country selected to present his research at the 'Resident of Distinction Award' program.
Following residency, Dr. Callaghan stayed in Boston to complete a prestigious fellowship at SkinCare Physicians, which is widely regarded as one of the top dermatology practices in the country. In fellowship Dr. Callaghan received advanced training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, cosmetic dermatology and laser procedures from faculty with teaching appointments at Harvard, Brown and Yale. This fellowship program is one of only a few in the country that is accredited for training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery through the American College of Mohs Surgery, as well as for training in Cosmetic Dermatology through the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Callaghan has published over 15 articles and textbook chapters and has lectured nationally and internationally with a focus on skin cancer surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
