Dunya Deiner is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in general and surgical dermatology. Dunya began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse in 2008 working in Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce in the Cardiovascular Step-Down Unit and continuing in the Intensive Care Unit. Dunya continued her nursing career in Martin Memorial Health System in Stuart working in the ICU.
Dunya has always been passionate about helping patients and has always strived to provide the best possible care. Dunya earned her bachelor's degree in nursing with honors Summa Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ. Dunya's love and interest in dermatology grew and her desire to do more prompted her to advance her education. She received her Master's Degree of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner from Saint Joseph's College of Maine with Magna Cum Laude honors. Dunya successfully passed the national certification exam through the American Academy of Nurse practitioners. During her clinical rotations, Dunya had the opportunity to work multiple clinical settings, including internal medicine, pediatrics, OB /GYN and dermatology. Dunya states that "Dermatology has become my true passion". Her experience has enabled to develop strong skills that prepared her well for the challenges in dermatology. Dunya believes that dermatology provides the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' day-to-day lives and she finds the profession endlessly interesting and rewarding.
Dunya is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Dunya enjoys practicing at Vero Beach Dermatology in a warm, caring environment where each member of the team and more importantly, the patients are valued. Dunya provides comprehensive dermatologic care, taking time to listen and understand her patient's particular needs thereby building a long lasting and trusting relationship.
In her free time, Dunya enjoys spending her free time with her husband Brad and her two sons Adam and Michael. They enjoy boating, fishing and golfing together on the weekends (with their sunscreen on, of course!)
