Dr. Jules Lipoff, a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, is a board-certified dermatologist. He graduated from Yale with his Bachelor of Science in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. He attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. For internship in internal medicine and for residency in dermatology, he continued his training at Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.
Dr. Lipoff is an active contributor to the scientific research community. His research has focused on access to care, teledermatology, social media, and health equity at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He speaks nationally and internationally about telemedicine and publishes extensively as a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Dr. Lipoff cares deeply about volunteerism and advocating for the underserved. In 2014, he founded the first Philadelphia-area dermatology clinic dedicated to serve both patients living with HIV and transgender patients, Providing Integrated Dermatology for Everyone (PRIDE) clinic. He also volunteers with Physicians for Human Rights and serves as a Senior Specialist Consultant for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).
In his free time Dr. Lipoff is a voracious writer, filmmaker, podcaster, reader, and consumer of all things television/cinema. In the rare moments when Dr. Lipoff is not in the office or pursuing his many creative passions, he enjoys spending time with his family and is an ardent fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, and Kansas City Chiefs.
