Credentials
Julian M. Thomas, MD, completed medical school and dual residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he built a strong foundation in comprehensive, patient‑focused care. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery at the University of Michigan under the mentorship of Dr. Neil Swanson, a nationally recognized leader in cutaneous oncology.
While he has long enjoyed the full breadth of dermatology, Dr. Thomas found his true calling in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Mohs surgery allows him to combine meticulous surgical precision with meaningful patient connection — ensuring individuals feel supported, informed, and reassured throughout their treatment journey.
He is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of skin cancer care, from accurate diagnosis to complete removal and reconstruction, while also helping patients understand their risks, prevention strategies, and long‑term skin health.
