Dr. Ramirez is a board certified, medical dermatologist who is dedicated to the pursuit of quality, comprehensive patient care. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of malignant melanoma, a vital topic he has been asked to speak about to charitable organizations and in a variety of public educational settings.
Born in Kansas and raised in Central Florida, Dr. Ramirez has a passion for teaching and for sharing his love for this field. He has volunteered his time to help teach undergraduate, physician assistant and medical students, as well as post-graduate physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical interns and residents. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Nova-Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Plantation, FL, and completed his internship and family practice residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando. He was then selected as a Dermatology Research Fellow at Northwestern University, Chicago, and as a Clinical Dermatology Fellow, at the University of California San Francisco, Mt. Zion Melanoma Center, San Francisco, CA. He then completed a dermatology residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
When not working, the self-professed “second worst cook in the area” enjoys learning to cook dinner, travelling to new locales with his wife, hiking, and 3-D printing.
