Credentials
Dr. Maddox holds a lifetime certificate from the American Board of Dermatology. In addition to general dermatology, he has a special interest in cancers of the skin. He has been with Dermatology Associates of Montgomery, now part of Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, since 1983.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Maddox is a clinical associate professor of medicine at UAB Health Center Montgomery and is active in teaching medical students and residents.
The Alabama native is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he also completed his internship. He completed his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His honors and recognitions include the Continuing Medical Education Award of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Physicians’ Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Maddox is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Alabama Dermatological Association, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
When not in the office, Dr. Maddox enjoys studying military history.
