Takirah is a board-certified Physician Assistant who discovered her passion for dermatology while working as a medical assistant during her undergraduate studies at the University of Detroit Mercy. She went on to earn her Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan, where she focused on health education, cultural competence, and building strong, trust-based relationships with patients.
After completing her medical training at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, Takirah received six months of intensive, hands-on dermatology training through our advanced training program. She specializes in treating chronic skin conditions such as acne, hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), eczema, and psoriasis, and is dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care.
With a deep understanding of how skin health can impact confidence and well-being, Takirah is committed to helping her patients feel comfortable and empowered in their own skin. She emphasizes education, prevention, and personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
