During her time there, she provided expertise to her patients in all aspects of dermatology, including general medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, cosmetics and surgical dermatology.

It was during this time that Dr. Khan’s passion for cutaneous oncology grew to the point that she decided to pursue advanced fellowship training in Mohs and reconstructive surgery in order to provide optimal care for her patients dealing with skin cancer. At Yale, she trained under the direction of Dr. David Leffell, Professor of Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology. In addition, she conducted research on a number of skin cancer related-topics.

Dr. Khan currently focuses her practice on cutaneous oncology, which primarily involves the treatment of basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, cutaneous sarcomas, adnexal carcinomas and other rare tumors. She is also an expert in facial plastic reconstruction following skin cancer removal. In addition, she also surgically removes benign growths such as cysts, lipomas, keloids and moles, repairs torn earlobes and performs nail biopsies.

Dr. Khan was born in the former Soviet Union and relocated to Phoenix, AZ in 2000. She is fluent in both English and Russian.

"Dr. Yulia Kahn has become a very important part of my life. I was referred to her for facial reconstruction following basil cancer under my eye. She was suspicious of a mole on my leg that I was told by others was nothing. It turned out to be Melnoma. In my opinion, “she saved my life”. I have talked with others who admire and respect her as much as I do. My oncologist agreed with me saying “She is the best out there”!!??"

"I was referred to Dr Khan by my dermatologist. I had a very aggressive basal cell on the side of my face. It had been brewing and itching and suddenly became quite a bit worse. Dr Khan did a Mohs procedure on it about a year ago and I have been very pleased. The eyesore I had there and all the accompanying itching and soreness is completely gone. No one would even guess anything was done there. She did another procedure to remove a troublesome small abnormality on my cheek. I couldn’t be happier with the results and have told others about her work. The procedures have not been as painful as some biopsies i’ve had done elsewhere. She’s very good and very quick, which I like. I will use her for any future derm issue for sure."
