Alopecia Areata (Hair Loss)

Male and Female Adolescents, Ages 12 to 17 years old.  Qualifying patients will have a diagnosis of severe alopecia areata.

Severe alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease that attacks the body’s hair follicles, causing patchy hair loss. While it doesn’t typically affect physical health, it can be mentally and emotionally challenging, especially adolescents already struggling with their changing self-identity and social expectations.

Study Details

The objective of the registry is to create a cohort of adolescent subjects to evaluate the long-term real-world safety and effectiveness of routine clinical care treatments for severe AA. Data collected through the registry may be used to address a range of research questions and use cases including, but not limited to: better characterizing the natural history of the disease, evaluating the effectiveness and safety of commercially available medications for the treatment of severe AA in adolescents, providing information to support characterization of adolescent growth and development and ongoing risk-benefit evaluation by drug manufacturers and regulators, and research related to drug utilization, disease burden, and unmet needs.

Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema)

Males and Females, Ages 12 to 89. Qualifying patients will have been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis (eczema) and have had at least one eczema flare within the past 2 months.

Atopic dermatitis (AD), also called eczema, is a skin condition associated with repeated periods of worsening symptoms known as flares.

Study Details

This study will collect skin measurements from people with atopic dermatitis (AD) using the investigational Nevisense Go device. Participants aged 12 to 89 years with a history of AD flares will use the device at home for about 90 days. Participants will complete device measurements, electronic diary entries, and up to five in-person study visits. The study is based on the idea that changes in skin barrier function may occur before an AD flare becomes visible or symptoms begin. Information collected during the study, including device measurements, diary entries, and investigator assessments, will be used to evaluate whether these changes may help estimate the likelihood of an AD flare before visible signs or symptoms occur.

Compensation: Up to $1,140
