Dr. Sardiña is a board-certified anatomic & clinical pathologist and board-certified dermatopathologist. He completed his medical school training at the top of his class and with honors from Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas-Venezuela. Before pursuing a career in pathology, Dr. Sardiña worked as a pathology assistant for several hospitals in Caracas and completed a research fellowship year at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. He graduated from the anatomic and clinical pathology residency program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland Ohio where he stayed to complete a fellowship in dermatopathology.
Dr. Sardiña is a physician investigator passionate about understanding human diseases' pathophysiology and consequent structural alteration as well as innovation in laboratory medicine. His primary passion is to provide expert diagnoses that assist clinicians in managing their patient’s diseases. Throughout his career, he published multiple original articles with high-impact factors in top research journals and gave several talks at international and domestic conferences.
Dr. Sardiña enjoys painting with acrylics and reading philosophy books in his spare time. He also likes karaoke and coffee.
